You'll see a book just to the east, this will let you cancel the quest if you're getting stomped or something I guess, you shouldn't need to use it. There is an ! over his head with a crown on it, which means he has a quest for you, talk to him and accept it. Your next objective is northeast to the spirit. As a general rule I would fight all the enemies you see, that should keep you even with the level of the story quests, potentially even above it. You just approach enemies and start smacking them, there is no battle screen. This is the world map, you walk across it in real time, and there are no instances. Soak up that juicy 1.00 ratio on that 100 GS achievement. Once the conversation ends you'll finish the quest, and get your first achievement. Go north and then follow the spirit thing that has been talking to you into the teleporter. Go north for a conversation, then enter the tower. Outside you'll see a stone with a blue heart, you can use it to save and heal, you can find them in most towns. The light always signifies an exit from the dungeon. You can open these like chests, they give gold. Further on you'll find 2 more enemies, and then 2 boxes past them. Keep going and you'll find an enemy you can lure into the spike trap. As I said on page 2, combat is basically spamming Freeze (freezepaw) as much as you can while clubbing enemies with your melee weapon. Flamepurr hits a relatively small AoE around you that does damage over time, and Freezepaw hits enemies above and below you. You'll learn 2 spells, Flamepurr and Freezepaw, which will automatically be equipped on the Cat and Dog respectively. Go north and kill the enemy, then interact with the stone. You'll see a circle appear around the enemy which signifies it is about to attack, roll away and then start whacking it again when the attack is over. Just past it is an enemy, use to attack and to roll. On the equip screen press to switch to it, and then equip it like you would normally. You'll reach a chest, open it and you can equip the armor you get on your second character. Follow the path grabbing the blue orbs (they give experience). Press and then press to go to the armor/weapon tab. When you get close to it you'll see a little pop-up that tells you what level it is. :(Įdit: There's another guide on here listing just the dungeons that have gold chests, if that would be useful to you. After the intro scenes head forward and enter the cave by going next to it and pressing. I wanted to include a map marking them all off by level, but it's hard to get a shot of the full map due to the way it curves. I neglected to make note of which dungeons had gold chests, or I would've included that information. If you think there's something I should add to this list, please let me know. Because in later levels when there are few quests I got tired of scrounging the entire map for a near-level dungeon.Because the game requires a LOT of running back and forth across the map and I was tired of keeping mental note of where I needed to go back to when I was higher level. To check off dungeons a second time when I finally found the Golden Key and went back to open chests. To use as a checklist as I played through the game.I made this list for a variety of reasons: MOST of the Dungeons will be visited via quests and do not need to be sought out. This is a very basic 'guide' to the Dungeons of Cat Quest.
